Only one person remains in the hospital among those injured in the explosion at a fireworks warehouse in Sergiev Posad near Moscow. On Monday, August 14, said the head of the city district Dmitry Akulov.
As the mayor of the city wrote in his Telegram channel, only one victim currently needs inpatient treatment.
At the same time, payments to victims of the explosion began, more than 90 people have already received funds from the head of the Moscow region.
Work is underway to restore material damage. The Capital Repair Fund has begun replacing broken windows in houses.
An explosion at a plant in Sergiev Posad occurred on August 9. As a result, more than 80 people were injured, one of the warehouse workers died. As part of the investigation of a criminal case initiated after the incident, the director of the Piro-Ross company, Sergei Chankaev, was arrested. The defendant pleads not guilty to the incident.
According to the latest information, 53 cases of gunpowder from out-of-date ammunition were transferred to his company for storage. The gunpowder had to be disposed of. According to investigators, the cause of the explosion was safety violation.
