One of the oldest residents of the Moscow region, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, Nikolai Ivanov, died at the age of 104. He died on Saturday evening in his apartment in Domodedovo near Moscow.

As MK learned, Nikolai Ivanov went through the entire war and after the Victory he remained to serve in Germany. He was born on May 25, 1920 in the Voronezh region, grew up in a peasant family. When the war began, he trained as a radio operator and was at the front until 1945. Awarded the medal “For Courage”.

After the war, Nikolai Ivanov graduated from veterinary college and worked as the head of the veterinary service in Transbaikalia.
