How report at Sechenov University, where the scientist was a professor in the department of clinical pharmacology, Mr. Kukes died at the age of 90. According to the Telegram channel Mashthe scientist’s body was found in his apartment in the center of Moscow; no signs of violent death were found.
As explained at Sechenov University, Vladimir Kukes was the first in Russia to propose studying complex issues of pharmacology, and also developed and implemented methods for determining the concentration of drugs in the body. The academician also proved the need to conduct a drug test to select a safe and at the same time effective dose of drugs and predict the effect of their use and possible side effects. In the last years of his life, Mr. Kukes studied coronavirus.
The scientist is the author of more than 100 manuals for doctors and students on current problems of medicine, 6 monographs, 17 patented inventions, more than 400 scientific papers, as well as co-author of two manuals on the clinical and preclinical study of drugs.
