One in four Russians stopped having children, poll shows

According to the results of a poll by the Public Opinion Foundation, a quarter of adult citizens of the Russian Federation are currently childless.
Thus, adult participants in a survey conducted in 53 regions of Russia, in 24% of cases reported that they did not have offspring. Less than a third (27%) said that they had one child, almost one in three (35%) reported that they were the parent of two children.
14% of respondents turned out to be Russians with many children – 9% had three children, 5% had four or more.
