On the editor-in-chief of the news portal in Rostov-on-Don, a protocol was drawn up on discrediting the army

Elena Dorovskikh, editor-in-chief of the Rostov online publication 1RND, has been charged with an administrative offense – discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The reason for drawing up the protocol was last year’s publication on the distribution of leaflets against mobilization in Rostov-on-Don, informed news portal. The day before the initiation of the administrative case, Elena Dorovskikh received the medal “For military-patriotic work.”
Employees of the police and the center for combating extremism came to the editorial office of the publication on the afternoon of August 22. The publication, for which Elena Dorovskikh could be held accountable, reported that in October 2022, leaflets with anti-war appeals and instructions on surrendering to the mobilized were found near the building of the CPE department. In addition to the text, the publication contained photos of leaflets.
The editors of the publication noted that Elena Dorovskikh supports the policy of the state. During her journalistic career, she actively cooperated with law enforcement agencies, including the leadership of the Southern Military District. The editor-in-chief of 1RND was marked by many letters of thanks from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, and the TFR.
“The police were a little discouraged that the medal (“For military-patriotic work.” – “Kommersant”) was presented to Elena Dorovskikh by their former head, retired Interior Ministry General Vitaly Shevchenko, who once headed the Don Main Directorate,” reports the editors of the online publication.
Elena Dorovskikh’s interests will be represented in court by lawyer Vladimir Chesnokov, who said that drawing up an administrative protocol is pressure on a journalist and interference in the activities of the editorial office.
