At the moment, the headquarters supervises 412 Sakhalin families,” said Dmitry Smekalov, head of the Agency for Youth Affairs of the Sakhalin Region.
Volunteers and social workers have already gone through the apartments where the families of the mobilized live and asked if they needed any help. According to Vladimir Yushchuk, deputy chairman of the regional government, they have already visited more than 1,000 families, of which only half expressed a need for help. Someone asked for support in the preparation of firewood and coal for the winter, others spoke about the steps in the entrance, which need to be repaired long ago.
