In Russia, starting from 2027, a new system of remuneration for public sector employees will be introduced.

Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the federal government to develop measures to improve the wage system for public sector workers. The corresponding document was published on the Kremlin website on Monday, April 1.

Thus, in 2025, in a number of Russian regions, it is planned to implement pilot projects to introduce new payroll systems for such employees. In 2026, the government will have to ensure their approval and, from 2027, implement them in all regions.

Putin ordered the preparation of a report on this issue by the end of this year; Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin was appointed responsible.

Earlier, the head of state instructed the federal government to take measures to reduce poverty by 2030 – it should be below 7%, and among large families – 12% or less.
