In Moscow, at 9 Leningradsky Prospekt, there is a residential building, which was built in 1949 according to the project of architects A. G. Rochegov and P.I. Bronnikov. The house was erected for employees of the Ministry of Coal Industry. And it is a vivid example of the Soviet Empire style.
At the moment, specialists are completing a major overhaul of this house: they are restoring decorative elements on the facade, putting the roof and basements in order, replacing engineering systems, changing balcony screens and damaged balcony slabs. By the way, when repairing the facade, a unique “hydrophobization” technology will be applied, which will reliably protect the walls from the negative effects of precipitation. Vladimir Kozhichenkov, Deputy General Director of the Capital Repair Fund of the City of Moscow, noted that during the repair, the builders use the most advanced technologies and use modern domestic materials to restore the portrait of the object. And he promised that by the end the years of work would be completed.
The house of architects A. G. Rochegov and P. I. Bronnikov also has an interesting history: from 1976 to 1980, the first Soviet world weightlifting champion and Honored Master of Sports of the USSR Grigory Novak, who set 23 world records and 86 USSR records, lived in it . After the end of his sports career, he began to perform in the circus with a program of power numbers.
