From January 2 to January 7, 2023, the train traffic pattern on the Moscow Metro’s Koltsevaya Line will change.
From January 2 to 4, trains on the Koltsevaya metro line will run only counterclockwise, and from January 5 to 7 – only clockwise. This was reported in the press service of the Department of Transport of Moscow.
“This is necessary to upgrade the infrastructure responsible for the safety and management of train traffic. The existing system needs to be updated, for this we will apply the most modern technologies,” the ministry explained.
The report clarifies that at the same time, during the period of restrictions, all metro stations and transfers on the Ring will work.
After infrastructure upgrades, trains on the Koltsevaya Line will run more frequently and the carriages will be freer.
