How else, if not with new songs, can the Woman of the Age Who Sings celebrate her anniversary? It’s logical…

However, the sofa audience is again dissatisfied. It’s bad that Pugacheva doesn’t sing. She started singing – also bad. They don’t know what they want. You can, of course, criticize Liza Minnelli for not shouting New York, New York with the same tissitura as before, during the times of her stormy and raucous, vociferous youth. And Barbra Streisand doesn’t give a damn – they say, Woman in Love is no longer the same, she doesn’t sing, you know, like on the Guilty album of 1980, but she just swaggers…

In defiance of this stupid heresy, “ZD” will now utter a terrible sedition: Leonid Agutin can sprinkle ashes on his head, since Alla Pugacheva gave his song “You’re Crying”, if not new youth and a second life, then the desired charm. It’s not that everything was bad for Agutin five years ago, when the song was aired. No, “You’re Crying” was even included in some chart of the best love songs of the year. But in the line of Agutin’s musical graces, this verse clearly did not stand out for the phenomenal nature inherent in his best works. But something hooked Ms. Pugacheva, and she, rolling up her sleeves and gargling with chamomile infusion, got down to business.

Having changed “you’re crying” in the text to “I’m crying” (here it’s time for Tanya Bulanova to shudder with her “I’m Crying” of all times and peoples of the CIS), Pugacheva embellished the phlegmatic Agutin vibe with a much more sensual, truly Pugachev-esque, that is, explosive and restless , in the mood, she resurrected her favorite guttural vocalises and wheezing, for which, it seemed, a miraculous monument had already been erected, and in general, she made a rich truffle with a tart rum filling from a sugary soufflé with milk chocolate crumbs.
