New Year trees in the Bike Center is an annual colorful theatrical, live performance, with the author’s script and production, the work of professional artists and extreme stuntmen, a large number of special effects, laser and pyrotechnic animation. In 2023, the magical world of a fairy tale will again appear before the audience. Moving outlandish scenery and unique fairy-tale technique, incredible stunts, colorful special effects and favorite heroes of Russian fairy tales – all this in the New Year’s fairy tale story from the legendary bikers – “Night Wolves”.
The action recreates the atmosphere of a Russian folk tale based on the history and traditions of our people, which is combined with the reality of our days. Christmas Trees in the Bike Center is a colorful action with original musical accompaniment, beautiful literary texts and poems, in which, according to the plot, evil challenges the world, but good forces, united, rebuff the villains. With the help of fairy-tale heroes, children learn kindness, friendship, readiness to help their neighbor, courage, love.
In a fabulous, and therefore understandable manner for children, the historical and spiritual heritage of the Russian people, today’s problems in Russia are told. Vivid images, realized and revealed by the actors at a professional level in the performance, show young viewers what honor and conscience, brotherhood and mutual assistance are, and what envy, anger, pride are.
The idea of creating the project was born in 2003, when the first Christmas fairy tale was held at the Bike Center site, which immediately became one of the most popular New Year’s performances in Moscow. A whole generation has already grown up on the tales of the Bike Center, for which biker Christmas trees have turned into an exciting series. The idea of holding children’s Christmas trees in the Bike Center belongs to the president of the Night Wolves motorcycle club, Alexander Surgeon. Intertwining poetic forms, music, songs, dances, light, special effects and trick elements with each other, the creative team creates an incredible performance, drawing inspiration from Russian history and trying to convey information about the events that took place and are taking place on the Russian Land in a language understandable to children – fairy tale language.
For the entertainment of the performance, “live” designs, the author’s collection of costumes, musical scores, video sequences and installations have been prepared. Along with live actors, a huge amount of fairy-tale technology is involved in the performances. She is not just a static scenery, but is an equal character of a fairy tale with individual characters and even charisma. Outlandish technical objects literally come to life on the site: express emotions, talk, fly, breathe, spewing flames!
Every year, more than 10,000 children from Moscow, the Moscow region and other regions of Russia visit the New Year trees in the Bike Center.
