“Omsk Hawks” after two periods loses to “The Seagull” in the final

On Saturday, April 15, the Omsk Hawks will play the first match at home against Chaika Nizhny Novgorod in the MHL playoff final. Gone are the first two periods, the score is 3-2 in favor of the Volga.

“Omsk Hawks” on April 15 in the MHL play a home match of the final of the Kharlamov Cup against the “Seagull”. After two periods the score is 2:3. The opponent’s goals were scored by Chupin, Vinogradov and Chesnokov.

In the first period, two problems caught my eye – the Omsk team passed poorly and listened to the fans’ claims even because of this, and in general they were stupidly mistaken.

This led to a relatively quick goal for the guests – Makar Chupin scored in the 4th minute. The score was 0:1 not in favor of the Siberians.

After another 4 minutes, it was possible to note a dangerous attack of the Volzhans, where the goalkeeper of the Omsk Hawks made a save.

A little more time passed – and the “hawks” earned the majority, but they still failed to score in it. In one episode, the goalkeeper of the guests made a save.

At the end of the segment, the “hawks” worsened their position – having received the majority (Konyushkov retired from the Volga), in just 23 seconds they conceded the second goal. Accordingly, the opponent scored in the minority in the 16th minute. Yegor Vinogradov distinguished himself.

But until the end of this numerical superiority Omsk played one puck. Vyacheslav Malov scored from the passes of Trikozov and Filatiev.

In the second period Omsk continued to try to recoup. They were not always literate and verified. In 7 minutes, the hosts failed to score a goal …

Then, on 31 minutes, the most dangerous attack of Chaika could be noted, when the Siberians were just very lucky that they did not concede for the third time. And in the Volzhan attack after a minute and a half, honor and praise were our goalkeeper Berezhny, who thwarted these attempts with his save.

Nevertheless, after 50 seconds, the guests still scored, with a throw on horseback. Here already Berezhnoy was powerless. Chesnokov excelled at “The Seagull” from the transfer of Kupriyanov – 3:1.

The guests did not rejoice at such an advantage for too long – 49 seconds, and Eduard Golodnyuk scored an insidious shot from close range among the “hawks”.

Before the break, we will also note the episode when Kupriyanov flew hard into the gate and could not immediately leave the ice.

And in the 39th minute, the guests’ goalkeeper Laurence Zinaddin made a good save. As a result, after two periods – 2:3.

It is worth noting that at the time of the first period, not all seats in the stands of the Academy, where the match is taking place, were filled. Although it was announced earlier that all tickets for both first matches of the series were sold out.

In the third period, the guests scored another goal, and the score became 4:2.
