Omsk authorities will demolish the stadium in the Central District

On March 9, the Omsk City Hall published a draft resolution of the mayor Sergei Shelest, according to which the Sokol stadium is planned to be demolished in the Central District. It is located on Kakhovskaya street.

The Omsk City Hall plans to demolish the Sokol stadium – this is evidenced by the draft resolution of the mayor published on its official portal on Thursday, March 9.

“To carry out the demolition of an engineering structure – the Sokol stadium complex, with a total building area of ​​21,416 sq. m, located at the address: Omsk, Kakhovskaya street, house 5b, ”the document says.

According to the reviews of the citizens of SuperOmsk, by the beginning of the 2020s, the territory of the stadium had already completely fallen into disrepair, it was actually not used for its intended purpose.

In the justification, they wrote that there are already results of a survey by the Center for Forensic Examination and Assessment, which took place in June 2022. Also on this topic was the appeal of the city BU “Sports City”.

The same “Sports City” is planned to be charged with the demolition of the “Falcon”, as well as its official write-off and termination of ownership. Control over these measures is the responsibility of the director of the city’s public property and vice-mayor Dmitry Makhin.
