According to the press service of the Essentuki administration, the coaches of the sports school for team sports of the resort city organized interactive holidays for their pupils. So, the other day a master class for the guys was held not just by professional basketball players, but by Olympic medalists.
“Olympic silver medalist Ilya Karpenkov, Olympic bronze medalist Yevgeny Voronov and bronze medalist of the Russian Cup Anton Pushkov came to hone the skills of Essentu residents,” the press service of the mayor’s office noted. “Professionals taught young athletes how to handle the ball, showed new tricks and even played a few friendly matches.”
As noted, this year June turned out to be truly fruitful for master classes. For the guys, acquaintance with famous athletes became a real holiday.
“At such trainings, young basketball players improve their skills, gain new knowledge and, of course, a powerful boost of energy,” said Yessentukov at the TDF sports school.
In addition, during the summer holidays, Essentuki athletes go to training camps every day. In addition to the usual training, the guys swim in the pool, go hiking, conduct quests, online training and dance Zumba with professionals.
