Olympic champions will talk to Kaluga children

Kaluga will take part in the All-Russian charity program “Olympic Legends for Children and Youth of Russia”. Within its framework, the project “Charity Olympic Marathon of New Opportunities, Friendship and Sports” is being implemented, which invites Russian children to communicate with Olympic champions.
As they said on Tuesday, October 10, at the Kaluga Ministry of Sports, on October 11, several athletes will come to Kaluga. This is the Olympic champion in athletics, two-time Olympic medalist and three-time world champion Tatyana Lebedeva, Olympic champion in basketball Irina Sumnikova, Olympic bronze medalist and first world champion in high jump Tamara Bykova, as well as the chairman of the board of the Veterans Committee, the presidium of the Public Fund and program manager Natalya Boyarskaya.
They will hold a meeting with members of Youth Army associations, young athletes and their coaches.
“And for high sporting achievements and contribution to the development of children’s and youth sports, young athletes and coaches will be awarded certificates of honor,” the department added.
