Actor and director Ivan Okhlobystin commented on the situation with actor Anatoly Bely. Okhlobystin quotes the words aif.ru.
Anatoly Bely, who moved to Israel a year ago, demanded the cancellation of the tour of the Moscow Lenkom Theater with the production of “Funeral Prayer” in Tel Aviv and published a corresponding petition. He also called for the cancellation of other Russian performances scheduled to be shown in Israel in January 2024.
Okhlobystin, in response to a question from journalists about Bely, noted that such actions cause misunderstanding for him.
“It’s like representing your own community. Well, he left. But to weave intrigues… This is incomprehensible to me,” he said.
