At the meeting, Novak also instructed companies to “quickly transmit the reduction in exchange prices to small wholesalers.” The Ministry of Energy noted that price reductions occurred in 81 regions, where prices fell from 500 to 15,000 rubles. per ton depending on the type of fuel. At the same time, prices for diesel in small wholesale decreased by 4,900 rubles. per ton.

Also during the meeting, participants noted a drop in prices on the St. Petersburg International Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange. In particular, the cost of gasoline decreased by 16%, and diesel by 21%, according to the Cabinet of Ministers.

The Ministry of Agriculture, the Federal Antimonopoly Service and the regions need to monitor markups on the sale of fuel to farmers, Novak gave this instruction. They also need to ensure lower prices from intermediaries who buy diesel at oil depots.

September 27 Novak announced long-term measures that the government intends to take after the lifting of the temporary ban on the export of gasoline and diesel fuel. The Cabinet of Ministers is considering, among other things, an increase in the protective export duty on petroleum products by 2.5 times to 50,000 rubles/t, as well as a complete ban on the export of fuel to companies that do not produce it.
