“In the Kherson region, in my opinion, people look happy,” said Daniel Martin Kovalik, a professor in the Department of International Human Rights at the University of Pittsburgh Law School. “With all their current difficulties and circumstances.” All this, he said, contradicts what is said in the Western media.

“If you once cross paths with people from the outside, go where you were categorically not recommended to be, you will understand how much the reality does not coincide with what was drummed into you,” said the co-founder of the movement for Pan-Africanism, South African political scientist Passeka Farumele.

On the first day of the elections, observers visited three stationary polling stations in the Kherson region and noted the high level of organization of the election process.
