Obscenities found in Turkish all-inclusive

The union of Turkish merchants and artisans demanded to cancel the all-inclusive system in hotels a month ago, accusing it of losses for the resort catering. The hoteliers flatly refused, stating that because of the “savages” living in the private sector, they are already on the verge of ruin, and without full board, those who choose the Turkish coast for recreation today will not go to them – families with small children and lovers of “seal” rest at the ready. But after a month of arguing, the Solomonic solution seems to have been born.

What awaits the beloved by many Turkish “all inclusive”, we learned first-hand.

A dispute between Turkish hoteliers and businessmen from the tourist-oriented service sector, which was quieted in connection with forest fires, broke out with renewed vigor after the head of a major Turkish tour operator, Mr. Ugur, made a public proposal to leave the all-inclusive system, but exclude alcohol from it. Like, alcohol is the most expensive tour item of expenditure, but not everyone needs it. Who needs alcohol, let them go to liquor shops, since Turkey is full of them.

– This is a very tricky move, – explains the hotelier from Kemer. – Despite the fact that we do not forbid anything to our guests, our country is Muslim. And few people dare to publicly object to a public proposal to remove alcohol. Since to go or not to go to the store for wine is a personal decision of the tourist. And when alcohol is already included in the paid tour, it seems to be imposed by the hotelier, despite the fact that he himself, most likely, does not drink, since he is a Muslim. But without alcohol, we will lose most of our European guests, because even families with children, which Mr. Ugur classified as non-drinkers, are not always like that. If this is a family from Russia, from Eastern Europe, from Germany or England, then everyone in it drinks, except for the child itself. In general, this is a trap, although it is said that this is for our own good.

This summer, Arab tour operators boycotted Turkish resorts “for inappropriate behavior,” and given that wealthy citizens of Kuwait and Qatar rested in Turkey, experts counted billions of dollars in losses in the country’s tourism industry.

“This is not just a loss, but damage that can seriously undermine the country’s economy,” the Turkish Ministry of Tourism is officially indignant. Unofficially adding that in such a dire situation, one must meet the desires of Arab tourists, and they want to rest according to Sharia.

No sooner said than done, and now the Turkish Ministry of Tourism is accusing “black PR” against its resorts of “individual ill-wishers”, who “through social networks” denigrate Turkish hospitality, attributing “Islamophobia” to it.

– Just like in a fable about a wolf, a goat and cabbage, – I share my impression with Azim, a Russian-speaking guide of the Kemeri all-inclusive. Who will be taken on the boat? It is unlikely that the Russians will go to “all inclusive in Sharia”!

– Due to the fall of the ruble, there are fewer and fewer Russians, besides, due to the blocking of cards, they are not particularly solvent, and it is easier for them to save cash than to scour in search of ATMs serving them. And it’s even easier to sit in the “all inclusive” with everything ready. So it was. But now the children’s holidays are over, and with them the all-inclusive contingent. And the Turkish tourism industry must be saved at all costs: everything is already so bad, and then abnormal heat, then fires, then earthquakes. And you don’t know what to expect. And if Qataris and Kuwaitis come, then families of 10-15 people and spend money without looking. It is not customary for them to count money on vacation – bad form.

Turkish hoteliers note, and our tour operators confirm, that in the second half of summer, many Russians began to choose for a week-long vacation not the expensive all-inclusive provinces of Antalya, but the Aegean coast, where prices are lower.

– In the province of Mugla, there is also an “all inclusive”, – they explain in a Russian travel agency working with this region of Turkey, – but not as large-scale as in Antalya and its environs. The Aegean “full board” is more like Greek: for example, three meals a day from the buffet are included, and a la carte dishes (from the menu) and alcohol are for a fee. The territory of the hotels is smaller, more modest, but the tour is significantly cheaper. For example, a week in Marmaris at the height of the season cost 79 thousand rubles. for two, and in Alanya – from 100 thousand rubles. and higher. Both there and there everything is included, but at different levels.

Well, then it is clear why the Turks are ready to exchange thrifty Russians for generous, but insulted by the attitude of the Arabs, especially since for the residents of the hot Middle East who do not swim in the sea, the most desired Turkish season is ahead – it will come with an autumn cold snap. And in the autumn, on the contrary, there will be very few of us, no matter how much we add “switched on” alcohol.

But, as it turned out from a recent proposal, on the Turkish coast they still love us and want to keep us. Therefore, the ill-fated “all inclusive” is proposed not to be abolished, but divided into 2 formats – decent and obscene. In the first one, they will not pour, entertain “cheeky” (offending the eyes of the faithful guest) animation, arrange foam parties, etc., but there will be many options for children and the opportunity to be in blissful silence for adults. And in the “all inclusive” of the second type – no children (guests strictly 18+), alcohol by the river, strip shows and stuff like that.

“The details have not yet been discussed, but many people like the idea itself,” the Kemeri hotelier admits on behalf of his colleagues. – A similar division exists in the resorts of Latin America. In Cancun, Mexico, for example, hotels for adults are marked “después del divorcio” – “after a divorce.” This is a symbol of the forbidden. If “all inclusive” with such a mark, it means that children under 18 are not allowed in such a hotel, and all kinds of entertainment for adults are available there. And if the usual full board, then this is food, and alcohol is for a fee. It also happens that a vending machine is installed in the hotel to sell alcohol-containing drinks so that the waiters do not carry them in front of everyone, tempting non-drinkers.

The survey shows that Russian families with children will happily purchase Type 1 all-inclusive tours if they become cheaper due to “decency”. Only some dads add that all the best goes to children and wives, and they themselves, so be it, somehow turn around in the type 2 establishment closest to the place of family vacation.
