Interrogations of the company’s managers have been going on since the end of July, – says press secretary Grigory Glukhov. – It happens that all employees of the logistics department are called to the investigator on the same day. It is clear that this disrupts the normal operation of the plant, because every day it is necessary to order hundreds of different components from subcontractors – from raw materials to fastening bolts. Suppliers go on night shifts or on weekends to prevent a stop in the implementation of the state defense order. And these actions are carried out against the backdrop of a special military operation…

I will add that after the August government decree on the fulfillment of the state defense order, the SEGZ switched to a three-shift mode of operation, and some workshops also work on weekends.

In general, one gets the impression that the “operation” of law enforcement officers at the power plant in Sarapul is being carried out under a veil of deep secrecy. There are no official statements or accusations in this regard from the power department. The team doesn’t even know who exactly organizes the search and seizes the documents. But they assume that they are not local police officers. If they were involved, this would become known one way or another, because almost half of the city works at the SEGZ, many have relatives in the authorities.

The less information is received about what is happening at the plant, the more rumors are born in the work team. In particular, they say that now the company will stop issuing milk for harmful professions, paying bonuses, the 13th salary, and an allowance for seniority.

Can you imagine, this “relic” of the Soviet past still remains here: the 13th salary?!

They even talk about the fact that there are “real forces” that intend to seize the plant, the employees are afraid that they can ruin it and sell the unique equipment.

Let’s think about this crazy assumption. Who benefits from this ending?

State? In no case. SEGZ, in fact, is the only enterprise in the country that produces units for combat aircraft and helicopters, air defense systems, as well as for intercontinental ballistic missiles. Yes, there are several similar industries in the country. But in order for them to switch to serial, mass production of such equipment, it will take at least 2-3 years. It is unlikely that our army and navy will be able to calmly wait for this time.

This is not beneficial for the state, especially now, in the changed geopolitical situation.

Maybe the plant is of interest to business? Yes, he has good economic indicators, profit, but more than half of it goes to the development of production and the implementation of various social programs. Of course, if the new owner puts an end to the social sphere and the development of new types of products, he will receive decent profits.

But in this case, the country will not only be left without special products for the defense department, but will also lose certain civilian goods produced here under the import substitution and diversification program.

“We have practically ousted Bulgarian electric cars from the Russian market,” explains Yury Chuverov, head of the plant’s marketing bureau. – Until recently, lift winches for the Shcherbinsky enterprise in the Moscow region were purchased in Italy, we switched to their production. We fully mastered the production of worm pairs for them – they came from Germany. Thus, the entire drive to the elevators is of domestic production. In the near future, we will put traction motors for modern low-floor trams on stream – they came from the Czech Republic. In this position, we will become the leading enterprise in the country, adding another half a billion rubles of income per year.

In the quiet and provincial Sarapul, SEGZ is a city-forming enterprise, on its “shoulders” the social infrastructure of the Southern microdistrict – the largest in the city. Schools, kindergartens, the House of Culture, and other facilities turn here for help. To help someone in the construction of the stadium, someone to repair the roof after the winter – millions of rubles are annually spent on patronage from the treasury of the enterprise.

According to the collective agreement (among the enterprises of Udmurtia it has been recognized as the best more than once), the salaries of employees are annually indexed to the level of inflation. Many veterans receive a factory allowance for their pensions. In general, the company tries to support those who have gone on a well-deserved rest. The Council of Veterans consists of about 3 thousand people, in the city it is jokingly called “another SEGZ workshop.” The plant supports the largest House of Culture in Sarapul, the Ozon sanatorium provides services for employees, and has its own recreation center Chaika.

There is a Board of Honor here, in one of the workshops (with civilian products) I saw the “Problem Solving Board”. For each category – product quality, costs, use of orders, etc. – the worker of the unit can put a note with his proposal in a separate cell. Which will definitely be considered and a decision will be made. “Board” (it is also in other workshops) is personally supervised by General Director Alexei Belyaev. It is clear that responsible persons are responsible for the implementation of practical proposals.

I assume that socialist competition is probably deployed here as well. How without it?

Expanded, they answer me, but without any political slogans, it is simply called a competition of professional skills.

In fact, the winner was the winner – Tatyana Deriglazova. I find out that here, not even at the enterprise, but precisely in this workshop, a whole family dynasty of the Deriglazovs works! Husband, eldest son and daughter-in-law Julia. And my husband, in turn, had his parents and even both of his grandmothers working here.

There are more than 60 labor dynasties at the plant, professions are passed down from generation to generation – adjusted, however, for modern high-tech equipment.

Her eldest son, along with other competitors, also participated in the professional skill competition.

And the victory here (with a slight advantage) was won by my mother.

“I have been on these operations for 13 years, and he is only in his fourth year,” says Tatyana. – Let him gain experience, he has room to grow!
