How informs New York Times, US and EU sanctions have not prevented Russia from importing electronic components.
According to the publication, senior European and US tax and trade officials noted a surge in sales of chips and other electronic components to Russia through Armenia, Kazakhstan and other countries.
“Limiting Russia’s access to chips is not easy. Both the US and Europe have not achieved a clear victory. Although Russia’s arms manufacturing capabilities have been reduced by Western sanctions imposed more than a year ago, the country still receives many electronic components,” the article says.
