Nvidia adds video scaling feature to browsers

American company Nvidia released the new Game Ready Driver, which now features RTX Video Super Resolution technology. So far, it is only available for GeForce RTX 30 and 40 series graphics cards, but in the future, the company plans to add it to GeForce RTX 20 series graphics cards.
RTX Video Super Resolution technology enhances video resolution using artificial intelligence in the same way that DLSS works for video games. The function will also enhance accents on certain details. It is possible to scale the resolution from 480p to 4K (that is, more than 20 times), but success largely depends on the initial image quality.
The ability to increase video resolution will be available in Google Chrome and Edge browsers on services such as YouTube, Twitch, Netflix and Hulu. You can enable the feature manually in the “adjust image settings for video” section in the Nvidia control panel.
