As an example, she cited regions where people live the longest while remaining healthy. According to Ponomareva, this is, for example, Italian Sardinia or Japanese Okinawa.
In the diet of the inhabitants of these regions, vegetables, fruits, grains and legumes make up a significant part, and there is less meat, “milk” and semi-finished products than in other countries.
She recalled that it is important to eat right from an early age, while poor nutrition in youth will affect in old age.
