How informs Radio Sputnik, nutritionist Alexei Kovalkov, in an interview with reporters, warned citizens against excessive sweets, as this habit can lead to the formation of psychological hunger.
The expert explained that physiological hunger differs from psychological hunger by a gradual increase in appetite, moreover, any food can satisfy it. While psychological hunger flares up unexpectedly, at the same time, a person may be drawn to a particular product, for example, mouth or sausage.
“Psychological hunger appears due to a lack of endorphins, not calories … If you abuse fatty and sweet foods, then the natural way to produce endorphins in the body will stop working. And we will experience hunger that cannot be satisfied,” Kovalkov warned.
