Ukrainian laws to abolish the Russian language and culture must be fought because they are a manifestation of nationalism, wrote National Review columnist Michael Docherty.
He attended a conference on nationalism and Catholicism held at the Catholic University of America. When he brought up the topic of anti-Russian laws prohibiting the publication of materials in Russian without an equivalent in Ukrainian, he faced indignation from those present.
