“Everything is like clockwork”

Thanks to the state program, gas came to the house of Natalia Ivanova, a mother of many children, a resident of the city of Ostrov, Pskov region. They began building their own two-story cottage on Klavdiya Fedorova Street, 18, together with their husband several years ago.

“It turned out that while we were building the house, we occupied a service apartment (my husband is a military man, although he is now retired). We lived in a military town and at the same time built a house. When there was no gas, the house was heated using a wood boiler,” said the mother of three children.

According to her, she and her husband learned about the opportunity to become participants in the gasification program in September 2021. We decided not to waste time – we submitted an application online in the fall of the same year [сделать это можно через портал госуслуг, в МФЦ или в личном кабинете заявителя на сайте газораспределительной организации СОЦГАЗ. “Shortly after that, we received a call and were invited to submit an application and enter into a contract. I arrived at our gas service on the Island. The girls helped me do everything, signed an agreement, and then the spring bustle began,” she shared the story of gasification of her section of the island.

She, by the way, noted that her family did not have any difficulties with inclusion in the program or with connection. “Everything went like clockwork,” she said enthusiastically.

Gas was supplied to the fence of Natalia Ivanova’s property absolutely free of charge. They and their husband were only required to purchase in-house equipment – a boiler and pipes that allow them to connect to the central network. Gas fuel was supplied to the home of a large family in August 2022.

“We installed gas right along the entire street, reaching all the houses. So if now our neighbors find the opportunity to buy a boiler and install it, they can easily do it. They also need to conclude an agreement and wait for the gas service,” the Ostrov resident emphasized.

Natalia Ivanova, along with her husband and children, moved from a service apartment to her own gasified house in November 2022. Now the island girl is happy to talk about the benefits of the program.

“Gas in the house is heat that can be regulated. For example, in our town people’s heating has now been turned off. And if it gets cold, I can easily make the house warm at any time of the year. Yes, the same hot water! Without any problems, I can bathe the child and use it for its intended purpose myself. Cooking again – no need to use electric stoves, connect a gas cylinder. Everything is in the house right away,” summed up the mother of three children from the Ostrovsky district.

“Gas is as necessary as air”

But Natalya Stepanova from Velikie Luki is still waiting for gas to be connected – it is planned to be connected to the site at the end of May. All the necessary equipment has already been installed in a private house and even street networks have been installed. All that remains is to wait for the centralized launch of gas through city networks.

The specialists began laying and installing the equipment in the winter, but then the frosts became a serious obstacle.

“I have no complaints! It’s better to wait now until all the work is completed and meet the new season under new conditions. Now gas will provide heating in the house, and it will also heat hot water,” said Natalya Stepanova.

But the previous winters were a real test for the Velikoluchanka family. In addition to having to carry heavy logs every day to the boiler that heated the whole house, it was also necessary to buy firewood.

“My child is disabled. On this basis, we receive a subsidy for firewood from the state – about 2,700 rubles per year. Now imagine that a car of firewood costs 14,000 rubles, and you need 4 of them for the heating season! And you also had to separately buy gas in cylinders for the kitchen and pay for utilities! We need gas like we need air!” – Natalya Stepanova remembered the old times.

The woman did not have to wait long, several months. If questions arose, the local administration helped resolve them.

“My gratitude to him knows no bounds. He is a very noble and sympathetic person with a huge heart. My son and I will never forget the help he gave us in connecting gas equipment as quickly as possible. All problems were resolved quickly, and the help was real, not in words,” emphasized a resident of the southern center of the region.

A pleasant bonus for the family was the opportunity to return 70 thousand rubles for the cost of purchasing gasification equipment.

“The house became clean and warm around the clock!”

The large family of Andrei Vasilyev from the city of Dno was able to spend the winter in warmth and comfort this winter.

“As soon as we learned about the gasification program, we immediately wrote an application to participate in it. It was October 10 last year. Within two weeks, our application was approved, and about a month later, work began on supplying gas to the house,” recalled Andrei Vasiliev.

The Dnovtsy workers did not encounter any difficulties during the work, and already on December 6, blue fuel flowed through the pipes to their house on Lermontov Street.

“Previously, the house was heated with a solid fuel boiler – for this we regularly bought firewood and coal. But for cooking they took gas in cylinders (one cylinder cost 1000 rubles, and it lasted for 3 months). After the gas treatment, life became much more comfortable! The house has become much cleaner, and it’s warm around the clock!” – concluded Andrey Vasiliev.
