Parallel slalom competitions for amateur athletes will be held on January 27 at Gorskaya.

This event was preceded by the Championship and Championship of the city of Novosibirsk, organized by the Alpine Ski Federation of the Novosibirsk Region on January 26. And today, January 27, the parallel slalom competition, or PSL, took place on the Gorskaya track. This is reported by Sib.fm.

The organizers emphasized that parallel slalom is one of the youngest and most interesting disciplines in alpine skiing, which is becoming increasingly popular. “Parallel” is interesting for both athletes and spectators. Participants compete not only with themselves and the track, but also with an opponent starting in parallel.

The competence center of the all-season resort Manzherok has become a partner in technical equipment for the launches. After qualifying competitions on January 26, 16 participants were selected in each category.

The organizers reported that athletes of the following categories take part in the competition: U10, U12, U14, juniors 2007 and older, as well as amateurs (men and women).

It should be noted that parallel slalom competitions for amateur athletes are being held in Novosibirsk for the first time.
