The Novgorod Vodokanal team won the Northwestern Federal District futsal championship, beating Arkhangelsk Armida with a score of 7:5, according to data on the website of the North-West Association of Football Federations.
As the organization said, at the beginning of the game “Armida” scored two goals and held a total advantage until the end of the first half, but seconds before the break, the Novgorodians scored their first goal.
In the second half, Vodokanal dramatically outscored their opponents, hitting their goal five times in five minutes. Subsequently, the teams exchanged several more goals, and the match ended with a score of 7:5.
Novgorod football players became champions of the Northwestern Federal District for the fourth time. They previously won the title in 2023, 2022 and 2020.
The final took place in Veliky Novgorod on March 22. On the same day, the city hosted friendly match in futsal between teams from the FSIN departments in the Novgorod and Pskov regions.
