Novgorod gymnasts won silver at competitions in Yaroslavl

The Novgorod region team won second place at the All-Russian rhythmic gymnastics competitions for the prizes of European champion Karina Metelkova, which were held in Yaroslavl. This was reported in the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Administration of Veliky Novgorod.
More than 400 gymnasts aged from eight to 15 years from 30 Russian regions took part in the competition. Based on the results of the tournament, in addition to the main awards, many young athletes will receive new sports categories.
The region was represented at the competition by young pupils of Veliky Novgorod Sports School No. 2: Anna Zabotina, Vera Golubtsova, Milana Oborina, Yulia Zabruskova, Diana Romanova and Fatima Elchieva. All athletes train under the guidance of coaches Natalia Grinkova and Natalia Leksunova.
Previously “MK in Veliky Novgorod” reportedthat Novgorod athletes won gold medals at the Northwestern Federal District of Russia championship in rhythmic gymnastics among girls 14 years old.
