Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak supported the proposal of the Ministry of Energy to limit the number of gasoline exporters, informed government press office.
Novak held a meeting on the situation on the oil market. The press service of the Cabinet specified that the deputy chairman also instructed the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) and the Ministry of Energy to continue working with oil companies to increase sales of motor fuel.
Earlier on July 24 that the government is discussing limiting the number of fuel exporters to combat gray exports, informed “Kommersant”. According to the sources of the newspaper, as part of the restriction, the introduction of a closed list of oil refineries (refineries) that will be allowed to supply fuel for export is being discussed. The Ministry of Energy sent relevant proposals to Novak.
On June 30, the deputy chairman instructed the Ministry of Energy, together with the Federal Antimonopoly Service, to take measures to prevent the gray export of petroleum products. Then he instructed work out quotas for exports of oil products from Russia.
On July 21, the Deputy Prime Minister announced that the government had developed a number of proposals that would help stabilize stock prices for gasoline. He noted that in the near future several refineries will be out of repair, which will increase the supply of fuel on the exchange.
