It will be the first time in 16 years that Novak Djokovic will compete in Israel. In February 2006, he helped Serbia win a Davis Cup match against the national team in Ramat Ha-Sharon (4-1). It will also be the second tournament in the ATP 250 category played by Djokovic this season, after that of Belgrade, in April, where he lost in the final against Andrey Rublev.
