American hockey player Adam Johnson, who played for the Nottingham Panthers, died after suffering a cut to his neck in a British Hockey League (EIHL) match with the Sheffield Steelers. This was reported by the press service of the British club on the social network X.
Nottingham’s match with Sheffield on October 28 was suspended due to Johnson’s injury in the 35th minute, and fans were asked to leave the arena. The unconscious hockey player was treated on the ice, after which he was taken to the hospital, but the athlete could not be saved.
