Nothing, created by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, has introduced a new smartphone, Nothing Phone (2a), which has become the most affordable device in the brand’s lineup.

The new product received a Dimensity 7200 Pro chip from Mediatek, supporting 5G communications, 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal memory. The smartphone has a 6.7-inch OLED screen with Full HD+ resolution (2412×1080 pixels) with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. There is a front camera with 32 MP and a main module with a 50 MP lens and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The smartphone is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery, an NFC module and IP54 dust and moisture protection.

Nothing Phone (2a) retained the recognizable corporate design, but received a simplified design. The main visual differences were horizontally placed camera lenses and a stripped-down Glyph Interface system – unlike older models, where more than a dozen luminous panels are integrated into the translucent body, the new product has only three light elements left. At the same time, the ability to customize the backlight for various notifications and use diodes as a flash for the camera is retained.

Nothing Phone (2a) will be released in black, white and cream colors with a translucent body. The smartphone will receive its own operating system Nothing OS 2.5 based on Android 14 and will cost from €329.
