On August 10, a meeting of the AIFR was held on the issues of holding the 2023-2024 season in the Major League of the Russian Futsal Championship. The tournament in the upcoming season will continue to be held under the auspices of the AMFR, which has recently been mercilessly criticized because of the large fees and other costs that the participants in the competition bear, it is because of this that many clubs cannot finish the entire championship. Last season, all teams reached the finish line, and in 2022, 3 clubs failed to finish the regular season.
At the moment, it is known that 7 clubs have submitted documents for licensing to the Western Conference of the Major League. Their names are unknown, however, an approximate composition of participants can be formed. Among them are the Nizhny Novgorod “Norman”, which in July began preparations for the new season. “Football-Hockey-NN” ceased to exist as a professional club and became one of the teams in the structure of PKMF “Torpedo”.
The start of the new Major League Western Conference season is scheduled for September 8-10.
