Noize MC was fined 30 thousand rubles. due to lack of foreign agent marking

The Kuzminsky Court of Moscow fined the rapper Noize MC (Ivan Alekseev, recognized as a foreign agent) for 30 thousand rubles. for the lack of marking of a foreign agent on two publications in VKontakte, reports TASS from the courtroom.

The court found Mr. Alekseev guilty under Part 4 of Art. 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (production of materials and their distribution by a foreign agent using the Internet without indicating that they were created by a foreign agent), the decision announced by the judge says.

According to the agency, the reason for drawing up the administrative protocol was two posts by Noize MC on VKontakte dated April 28 and February 3 of this year with an invitation to concerts. According to the case file, the posts were noticed by employees of Roskomnadzor, who drew up a protocol, TASS reports.

The musician pleaded not guilty. His representative in court stated that the publications were posted not on Mr. Alekseev’s personal page, but in a profile dedicated to the activities of his group called Noize MC. “After all, an individual is recognized as a foreign agent – Alekseev, and not Noize MC. In addition, it was not he himself who could post the post, but another – the administrator of his group, ”the representative emphasized.

According to the agency, a representative of Roskomnadzor, in turn, said that the page that published the posts had been verified. In addition, it does not specify that a post on the page can be published not only by Mr. Alekseev.

Noize MC opposes the Russian military operation in Ukraine. He left Russia and lives in Lithuania. The musician held a series of charity concerts, the money from which went to help the people of Ukraine. Noize MC was recognized as a foreign agent in November 2022.
