The Nizhny Novgorod hockey club “Torpedo” in the last match of the away series in extra time achieved a victory over “Sochi”. The match ended with a score of 2:3 (0:0, 1:2, 1:0, 0:1 – extra time).
In the first period, despite the advantage and frequent play in the majority Torpedovtsy could not open an account. Siren recorded the score 0-0 for the break.
In the second period, the Torpedo hockey players were again determined to be the first to open an account with goals scored. Already in the 3rd minute of the 2nd period, Torpedo managed to realize a numerical advantage – a throw at the gate followed, Orlov corrected the puck in touch, opening the scoring in the match. It took Torpedo a little more than a minute in extra time to win the match – a brilliant counterattack at high speed by Torpedo, Kruchinin and Kovalenko went 2 on 1, an excellent pass to Nikolai and a well-aimed execution of the throw!
