Ninth graders will not be exempted from final exams

“There are no plans to cancel the Basic State Examination (OGE) for ninth grade graduates who do not go to the eleventh grade,” said Anzor Muzaev, head of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science, at a press conference today. According to him, this is due to the fact that for several years, due to the pandemic, high school graduates either did not take exams at all, or took only two. And the quality of knowledge began to decline. The exam is a certain motivator for which the guys should prepare.”
The head of the department also assured school graduates and parents that the State Final Attestation will be held as usual. Even last year, after the imposition of sanctions, the Unified State Examination was calm, there was no shortage of paper and cartridges.
As for the final exams, this year there are no plans to conduct them in computer form. Graduates will only take computer science and ICT exams on computers. But those comments and suggestions that came after the last graduation company were taken into account in Rosobrnadzor.
“Unfortunately, most of the comments come to us after the exams have passed. And there is no opportunity to make adjustments this year – only next year, – Anzor Muzaev noted. – A big request to everyone: already now there is an opportunity to get acquainted with the demo versions. Check it out and send us your comments so that if something happens, we have time to make adjustments before November 1.
There will be no increase or reduction in compulsory exams and elective subjects in either the 9th or 11th grades. Ninth-graders will take two compulsory subjects – Russian language and mathematics, as well as two optional subjects. Eleventh-graders will take the Russian language and mathematics to obtain a certificate of secondary education, the number of exams of their choice is not limited for them. At the moment, proposals for the introduction of mandatory exams in a foreign language, history, geography, and physics remain only proposals.
