In Moscow and St. Petersburg, shoe stores of businessman and blogger Nikita Efremov, who sell goods of foreign brands, are closed. Nikita Efremov’s Instagram account (owned by the extremist and banned in the Russian Federation Meta) explained the closure as “technical work.” Meanwhile, a search was carried out in the businessman’s store on Petrovka.
Telegram channel Baza reported that a certain Vladimir Imzhukov wrote a statement to the police because Nikita Efremov’s stores sold shoes without the “Honest Sign” marking and the necessary documents. Following this, Baza writes, searches were carried out in a Moscow store on Petrovka (Petrovskaya, 15/1), and law enforcement officers seized 5 thousand pairs of shoes.
Director for the protection of legal turnover of the CRPT Maxim Kurgansky said “Izvestia”, that some of the shoes were imported into Russia illegally, and therefore they do not have the “Honest Sign” marking. Nikita Efremov himself, commenting on the situation on the Telegram channel “Not Morgenstern”, urged customers to “carefully analyze the content” and promised to respond to incoming allegations later. The businessman is in the USA.
On October 19, YouTube blogger AndrewMADEit published video, in which he claimed that Nikita Efremov’s stores do not have certificates of authenticity for shoes of famous brands, including Nike, Adidas, and the quality of the goods does not correspond to the original ones. Following this, Nikita Efremov in the video on YouTube channel denied the accusations and stated that his stores sell only original products. In addition to Moscow and St. Petersburg, the businessman has stores in Dubai.
