Nikas Safronov criticized the monument to Moses

The country’s famous painter Nikas Safronov named the main shortcomings of the monument to Boris Moiseev at the Troekurovsky cemetery in a conversation with the Prozvezd portal.
“Dubious resemblance – not everyone recognizes Boris’s facial features. A gesture, a wave of the hand, some incomprehensible movement – the sculptor wanted to show it in a dance, but it is not readable,” Safronov said.
According to the artist, the monument to the artist is very similar to similar sculptures in honor of officials and those who participated in the “showdowns in the 90s.” Safronov suggested that Moiseev’s friends would like to see in the monument a reflection of the singer’s main character traits – sensitivity and sincerity. As an example, the critic cited a monument to the satirist Zhvanetsky, the author of which, as it seemed to the artist, accurately conveyed the character of this writer.
Although, Safronov suggested, the sculptor could have seen the deceased artist exactly like that.
