Night hockey league starts in Khabarovsk Territory

As reported in press service of the government of the Khabarovsk Territory, the qualifying stage of the Night Hockey League started in the region. Amateur hockey competitions were created in December 2011 at the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Men’s teams are invited to participate in the games, in which participants are over 18 years old.
Competitions are going to be held in two divisions: “Amateur 50+” and “Dream League”. The main prize is a ticket to the Superfinal in Sochi. Nine teams from Khabarovsk and the village of Pereyaslavka will fight for it. The opening of the 12th season of the regional stage of the Night Hockey League was held with the participation of the President of HC Amur, Olympic winner, world champion, Stanley Cup winner Alexander Mogilny.
During the opening match, the teams “Soyuz” and “Visit” met. The match ended with a score of 4:0 in favor of “Visit”. The regional stage will end before the end of March. The teams will play about 100 matches, that is, each will enter the court at least 20 times.
