Maryland Attorney General accuses 156 clergy of pedophilia

Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown’s report contains accusations against 156 members of the clergy of pedophilia. Mostly it’s about the priests.

They have dozens of victims on their account, reports newsweek. For example, former girls’ school chaplain Joseph Maskell was transferred twice from different schools for “problematic behavior with children.” The number of his victims reached 39 people.

In recent years, allegations of sexual abuse against members of the Roman Catholic Church have cost her billions of dollars. Hundreds of thousands of victims declared themselves. Especially in France, where more than 200,000 children were harassed.

The prosecutor’s report details how rapists in cassocks found and courted children. Many told their victims that the violence was a manifestation of “God’s will.” The priests also intimidated the children with the hell that they and their loved ones would fall into if someone found out about what was happening.

According to US prosecutors, only in the parish of St. Mark in Catonsville in 1964-2004, 11 rapists lived and worked.

“Archdiocese leaders repeatedly hushed up reports of abuse and showed little to no concern for the victims,” the investigation said.

Pedophiles were transferred to other positions with equal powers and access to children. Baltimore Archbishop William Laurie called the findings heartbreaking.
