New Zealand imposes sanctions against Russian and Belarusian companies

New Zealand has imposed sanctions against Russian enterprises of the military-industrial complex. About it reported Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country Nanaya Mahuta.
From the minister’s statement, which is published on the government’s website, it follows that New Zealand is imposing sanctions against 14 Russian individuals and legal entities that are related to the military-industrial complex, develop or purchase weapons and components for it.
In addition, restrictions are being imposed against six Belarusian organizations for supporting Russia’s actions. This includes banks, the report says.
In May, Makhuta announced that New Zealand had imposed additional sanctions against nine individuals from 18 organizations from Russia. The restrictions apply to the senior leadership of the FSB, the Foreign Intelligence Service, as well as certain other individuals and legal entities that “create and purchase weapons, technologies and communications systems, and also provide services such as transport and insurance.”
In total, since the beginning of the special operation, New Zealand has imposed sanctions against Russian President Vladimir Putin and his entourage, the leadership of the Security Council, more than 620 Russian parliamentarians, and others. More than 1,500 individuals and legal entities have been subject to restrictions.
On the eve of the sanctions lists against Russia expanded the United States, Canada and the EU. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) USA introduced restrictions against the former head of the Accounts Chamber Alexei Kudrin, a number of banks and defense enterprises and research institutes. Canada contributed four Russian mobile operators and several banks are on the sanctions list.
