“New Year’s Tale” – a holiday for all dance lovers

The annual festival has been taking place for more than 20 years.

The organizer of the festival and its permanent muse is the President of the Astrakhan Cheer Sports Federation Ekaterina Denisova.

11 cheer sports teams and 7 dance groups from the city of Astrakhan prepared their performances.

Already well-known teams and those who are just starting their creative journey performed. Bright and fiery, touching and lyrical – this is how this festival always takes place. It unites all teams and even generations. “Chir Stars” became a vivid example of this. Together with the children, their mothers and even grandmothers came to the site.

The absolute champions of Russia in dance styles, the sports and pop group “Zvezdochki,” demonstrated their unsurpassed talent. Sports center Chir sports “Extreme” team “Olympus Energy” staged a real flash mob – 100 children performed in one room. The coach of the Crystal Dance team, Ksenia Shibaeva, together with her special child Vanya, prepared a touching number.

Among the considerable number of young athletes was the youngest team of the “Istoki” team, led by coach Valeria Kosenko and club director Natalya Fatyanova. Girls are from three to seven years old. Like real athletes, they showed endurance, patience, and most importantly courage – to go out onto a large sports field and dance for the first time. “Girls are only studying for the first year. It took two months to prepare the issue. I was worried and worried along with them, because these were their first big steps into the world of cheer sports,” says the coach of the “Istoki” team Valeria Evgenievna.

“For kids, this is a great chance to perform, show themselves, try out the stage, see the scale, and not be afraid of the crowd of spectators. And also get your first medals,” Ulyana’s mother Valeria Pokudina shared her impressions.

All participants of the festive New Year festival were awarded cups, certificates of honor and sweet gifts from Grandfather Frost.
