According to the head of Izhevsk, Oleg Bekmemetiev, this year it was decided to abandon the New Year festival and fireworks and send the saved funds to support those mobilized in the special operation zone. New Year’s programs will be held only for children. So, a Christmas tree and an ice town will be installed on the central square of the city. Christmas trees will also appear in all districts of Izhevsk.
On the opening day of the ice town in the capital of the republic and on January weekends, festive programs will be held for children on the square. “At the same time, it was decided to abandon the format of the daily New Year’s festival with fireworks and evening programs. We are also refusing additional illumination to decorate the city – now it is important to accumulate funds to support our fighters and from families, ”said Oleg Bekmemetyev
In addition, charity performances and performances will be held for children whose fathers are now in the service. Traditionally, the Wish Tree project will be held, which will fulfill the dreams of children who find themselves in a difficult life situation.
