New “Roots” will start at STS

October 31 at 19.00 on STS comes the continuation of the comedy series “Roots”, the main roles in which were played by Mark Bogatyrev, Natalya Skomorokhova, Vladimir Sychev, Anna Ukolova, Elena Valyushkina, Ksenia Korneva, Yulia Sules, Sergey Bachursky and others.

In the second season, Dima Korolev (Mark Bogatyrev), who lost his girlfriend and a prestigious job in Moscow, suffers from depression in his native Zaleshchinsk. The news about the guy (Nikita Duvbanov) Alena (Natalya Skomorokhova), who not only improved her personal life, but also created a public organization to expose the mayor of Zaleschinsk (Vladimir Sychev), helps to return to the ranks. Korolev wants to take revenge on the former and joins the mayor’s campaign headquarters, helping to increase his popular rating. In response, the principled Alyona puts forward her candidacy for the post of head of the city.

“Dima spent some time in Zaleschinsk, so his Moscow show-offs flew off a little, – says Mark Bogatyrev. — If in the first season he consisted of such metropolitan manliness and charm, now he seems to be somewhere very severe, somewhere non-Moscow, a simple kid. Throughout the season, his desire to be real only grows. From a person who wants to seem like someone, he turns into a person who just wants to be.

Internal metamorphoses occurred not only with the main character, but also with the actor himself, who, during the break between seasons, got married and became a father for the first time. “It seems to me that I have become more serious, because along with the child, another responsibility and a different attitude to life appear,” he confessed.

The role of a parent was first tried on by his partner Natalia Skomorokhovawho brought her daughter to the shooting in Yaroslavl. “We must pay tribute to the daughter, who turned out to be a very comfortable child. After all, some children have a hard time adapting to a new place, — shares the actress. — We came and went three times, moved both by car and by train. It’s been two crazy months. But she did a great job.”

Performer of the role of Dima Korolev’s mother Elena Valyushkina recalls that for two years the audience asked her about the continuation of the story: “The series has really become popular. I remember how, after the first episodes were shown, they wrote to me: “This is my mother!”, “These are our people!”, “Yes, this is our family!”, “This is our city!”. And fellow actors congratulated: “Lena, this is a great job, well done!” Of course, it’s worth it.”

The main antagonist of the new season will be the mayor of Zaleschinsk, who has been the mayor for many years. Vladimir Sychev notes that in the new series, his hero has become even brighter: “He is a very bright character. And in the first season, we just declared him such an extraordinary person. Not only does he use everyone, but he also has abilities that we have not seen before.”

The actor especially remembered the scene of a hockey match: according to the plot, the mayor and his rival Alena sort things out on the ice. “I haven’t skated in a long time. But in Yaroslavl we all rode together in a twenty-degree frost and played hockey for a whole shift. It was entertaining.” Vladimir recalls..

The director of the comedy “Well, hello, Oksana Sokolova!” worked on the second season. Kirill Vasiliev and the operator of “Kitchen” Denis Panov. The group of authors as a creative producer was headed by the director of the first season, Mark Gorobets. New heroes in the continuation of the story were played by Nikita Duvbanov (“Call DiCaprio!”), Marina Bogatova (“Two Hills”) and the star of “Kitchen” Zhanyl Asanbekova. One of the roles – a guest of the hotel – was played by Anatoly Papanov’s daughter Elena Papanova.
