The Rada proposed to deprive a number of rights of Ukrainian refugees subject to mobilization
Member of the Defense Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Vadim Ivchenko made a statement about what restrictions citizens who have left the country who refuse the invitation to register for military service may be subject to.
“One of the consequences, for example, may be that consular services will not be provided,” the Strana.ua publication quotes the words of the Ukrainian people’s deputy.
He explained that if such persons have an expired passport, they will no longer be able to issue a new one. In addition, Ivchenko said, many Ukrainians who have left draw up powers of attorney at the country’s consulates in order, for example, to sell property in Ukraine or donate it. They will also not be able to issue such documents.
Another restriction for those evading conscription into the Armed Forces of Ukraine may be the blocking of Ukrainian bank cards.
Previously, the Ukrainian authorities stated that they were developing plans to mobilize men who left the country into the troops in connection with the military’s request for 500 thousand recruits.
