The Hiper brand introduced QLED TVs with Smart TV support. The current quartet in sizes 43, 50, 55 and 65 inches is the second generation of the vendor, which came to the domestic market. And its focus on local audiences is noticeable.
The remote control, in addition to a separate YouTube power button, received the same dedicated keys for launching the streaming services Kion, RuTube and VK Video. Why the equally popular Ivi, Okko or Kinopoisk are not on this list is anyone’s guess. In any case, this will not be an obstacle to their use. The developers have preinstalled popular applications on the Hiper QLED Smart TV model. Others can be found in catalogs.
In the current series of devices, the platform is not the shell from Yandex, but a solution based on the Android 11 operating system – Smart TV Android AOSP + TV UI. It, of course, has its own Google Play app store. In case what you were looking for was removed from it, there is a Russian analogue – RuStore. If there is a more urgent need, users can install APK files.
One of the key characteristics in any TV is picture quality. For the ULTRA HD 4K picture in Hiper products, which the manufacturer classifies as flagship, a QLED matrix with Quantum Dot backlighting, that is, with “quantum dots,” is responsible. This technology provides high brightness at any level of external lighting, uniform luminous flux, and also eliminates the risk of pixel burnout.
Also, new Hiper products support HDR and current video codecs, including AV1 (AOMedia Video 1), HEVC (H.265) and WebM (VP9). They allow you to watch any video online, play files from external media, mobile devices or network drives without losing quality.
It is noteworthy that we have to say this, and not in the first place, but the developers made sure that the Hiper QLED Smart TV series of devices works like a classic TV. Several tuners support digital, satellite, and analogue terrestrial and cable broadcasts. All TVs have two speakers with a power of 10 W, with the exception of the smallest 43-inch diagonal. There, the power is limited to 8 W on each source.
