The Office of the Prime Minister of Israel reported that Benjamin Netanyahu, in a conversation today with Russian President Vladimir Putin, expressed dissatisfaction with the position of Russian representatives at the UN on the situation in the Gaza Strip.

Netanyahu was also dissatisfied with statements made by Russian diplomats at other international forums regarding the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

Netanyahu also expressed concern about the close cooperation between Russia and Iran.

Speaking about the actions of the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip, Netanyahu explained to Putin that any country that is subject to such a terrorist attack will act with no less force.

At the same time, Netanyahu expressed gratitude to Vladimir Putin for his efforts to free an Israeli citizen, who also had Russian citizenship, from captivity by Hamas militants. The Israeli Prime Minister assured that he would use all means to free all those abducted.
