The “forces of civilization” will win the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. This opinion was expressed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at a meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
“We have many difficult days ahead, but I am confident that the ‘forces of civilization’ will prevail,” Netanyahu stressed.
The Israeli prime minister also expressed the opinion that no country should have contact with Hamas, and those who do so should be subject to sanctions.
On the morning of October 7, the Palestinian group Hamas began military operations against Israel. The militants attacked army border units, entered Israeli populated areas and took an unknown number of military and civilian hostages. The Israeli Army (IDF) announced the launch of Operation Iron Swords; the Israeli government announced that the country had entered a state of war.
The number of victims of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict has exceeded 2,400 people. Israel reported 1,300 dead and 3,300 injured. As a result of the response in the Gaza Strip, almost 1,200 people were killed and 5,600 were injured.
