Nepomniachtchi drew with Caruana in the sixth round of the Candidates Tournament

Russian grandmaster Ian Nepomniachtchi completed a draw with American Fabiano Caruana in the sixth round of the candidates tournament for the match for the world chess champion title. The game took place in Toronto and ended on the 41st move.
Based on the results of six rounds, Ian Nepomniachtchi scored four points – two wins and four draws. Fabiano Caruana has 3.5 points. In the next round, which will take place on April 11, the Russian will play against American chess player Hikaru Nakamura.
The candidates’ tournament for the world title match will last until April 22. The prize fund is €500 thousand. Out of six rounds, Ian Nepomniachtchi defeated the Frenchman Alireza Firouzja, and then the Indian Vidit Gujrati.
